My jeweler - the right ring size

In order for your ring to fit well, it is very important to determine the correct ring size. If you do not yet know your ring size or have found it at a jeweler's, we will be happy to help you. Your team at Juwelier Steiner will be happy to advise you and put together some good tips for you:

Determine ring size

In order to be able to determine your personal ring size, there are certain criteria that must be observed. As a jeweler, we attach great importance to providing you with as much assistance as possible. Your satisfaction is very important to us and we hope that we can convince you with our service.

Measure with a ring gauge

For wedding rings, you have the option of ordering sample rings in advance, which are accompanied by a standardized ring gauge.

More information about the sample rings: https://www.steiner-juwelier.com/musterringbestellung

For other rings that do not have the option of sample rings, you can order the normal ring gauge as a product in our shop for a deposit of 25 euros. After returning the ring gauge, this deposit will be deducted from your purchase. The shipping and return shipping costs are of course covered by your trusted jeweller.

We advise you to measure until a ring is too small for you and then decide on the next larger one. A ring size difference accounts for just 1mm in the curve of a ring. So the difference is minimal and significant for products that are only available in increments of two.

Measuring a suitable ring

If you already have a well-fitting ring at home, you can also simply measure it. When measuring, make sure that the ring you measure is the same shape as the ring you want to order. To do this, measure the inner diameter with a ruler and determine the ring size from our table:

And you should consider this when determining the ring size:

  • Always measure the finger on which the ring will later be worn
  • The ring sizes can be different on the right and left hand or swell on very warm days and have different thicknesses depending on the time of day.
  • Your ring size may also change. So if you haven't bought any rings yet, check your current ring size
  • before you buy
