The Humphrey hearts from the Alps - affectionately known as the hearts of the Alps - were designed by Norbert Muerrle. You are cool, sexy, attractive, desirable and chic. The earrings have a matt surface on one side and a glossy surface on the opposite side.

Inside the hearts are white Akoya cultured pearls 8 mm in size, which move with every movement. The pearls, which are perfectly round and have a very nice luster, make the heart very classy and particularly interesting.

The ear hooks were also developed with our in-house designer Norbert Muerrle. These brackets can be worn with or without earrings. The ending is a stainless steel ball. The temples have a left and a right side. The ball ideally points away from the ear.

Humphrey offers a 2-year guarantee on jewelry if treated properly. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry ever produced by Humphrey is still worn.

Humphrey's Akoya Pearls:

The country of origin of the Akoya pearl is Japan. Akoya pearls reach a size of 3 to 11 mm. The growth is very slow, about 0.15 – 0.3 mm per year. The pearls should have a layer of 0.6 mm and can therefore only be harvested after about 4 years.

The following criteria must be met for HUMPHREY:

Colour: Akoya pearls are generally white. In the case of the gray pearls, these are treated.

Luster: The luster of the Akoya pearl is very pronounced and depends on the layer thickness of the pearl.

Shape: Akoya pearls are usually round in shape. For Humphrey jewellery, it must be perfectly round and have a flawless surface.

Size: The bead has to match the size of the stainless steel jewelry and therefore have a very precise diameter.

The HUMPHREY jewelery wearer can therefore be sure that she owns a special piece of jewellery.

Dangers for the pearls:

Due to their chemical composition, pearls are sensitive to chemical and physical influences (e.g. they should be removed for showering and washing the hair).

They consist mainly of calcium carbonate and the organic horny substance conchyn.

Pearls are sensitive to extreme heat, drought and moisture.

Care of the pearls:

There are special cleansing baths for this that are mild. If possible, pearls should not be ultrasonically cleaned.

You can easily clean the beads yourself from time to time. Place the pearl in a bath of lukewarm water with a dash of mild dish soap and a little alcohol and brush gently. Then rinse the bead with clear water and dry the bead with a soft cloth. Every two to three years you can carefully rub the pearl with lanolin.
