Humphrey Collier Colored Stone Cube

The Cube pendant is elegant but can be worn every day. It is delicate, comfortable to wear and cannot be overlooked thanks to the colored gemstone. It underlines the personality of the wearer. The outer surfaces are matt. The interior surfaces are polished and therefore reflect a lot of light. All edges are softened and feel soft. Humphrey uses a nickel-free stainless steel. The weight is perfectly balanced - so the stone always points forward.

The colored gemstone is held by the force (tension) of the setting. He literally seems to be floating. To ensure this is safe, two notches are made in the shape of the colored gemstone using computer-controlled machines.

Humphrey has perfected this setting technique since the mid-1990s and offers a 2-year guarantee that the gemstone will be held securely if handled properly. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry Humphrey ever produced is still worn.

The integrated necklace is a delicate 0.5 mm stainless steel cable that fits perfectly around the neck. The clasp is equipped with a push button and is therefore very easy to open and close - and is securely closed.

The pendant is fixed on this necklace and prevents the clasp from rotating forward.

Amethyst Violet:

Amethyst is a stone that is particularly fascinating because of its dark purple color. The word violet means tremendous strength. Color occurs in nature wherever there is a special power and energy.

The name of amethyst comes from the ancient Greeks. They believed the stone protected against drunkenness. According to an ancient legend, amethyst was a nymph with whom Bacchus, the god of wine, fell in love. However, the nymph did not return this love and his advances were blocked. She asked the goddess Diana for help and she turned her into a gemstone. When Bacchus realized that he had lost his love, he poured his best wine over the stone, which then changed color. This gave the stone a protective effect against drunkenness.

Lolith Gray Blue:

According to an investigation, iolite, also known as cordierite, is said to have been used for navigation in the Viking Age, even when the sky was overcast, due to its ability to make polarized light visible. This so-called sun stone is known from legendary traditions.

Iolite is derived from the Greek “ion” and means violet.

The predominant color of iolite is deep blue to blue-violet.

With a Mohs hardness of 7 to 7.5, iolite is one of the hard minerals

Tourmaline Pink:

The name tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word “tura mali”. Translated it means something like “stone with mixed colors”.

An old legend from Egypt says that a tourmaline traveled over a rainbow on the long journey from the interior of the earth up to the sun. On the way he absorbed all the colors of the rainbow. That's why it is still called the "gem of the rainbow" today. Tourmaline is available in more than 50 shades from colorless to pink, red, yellow, brown, green and blue to black. A single crystal can often have multiple colors.

Humphrey only uses pink and green tourmalines.

Thanks to its excellent hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, the stone is suitable for all types of jewelry.

Topaz Blue and Green:

Topaz takes its name from an island in the Red Sea, which was called Topazos in ancient times. In fact, another mineral, olivine, was mined there and was long confused with topaz. Another explanation of the name comes from the Sanskrit word tapas, which means "fire" or "light".

Topaz has been known for at least 2,000 years and is one of the gemstones that form the foundations of the twelve gates to the New Jerusalem, the city of God. These stones were intended to serve as a symbol of beauty, splendor and defense against enemies.

The color of topaz range from yellow, light blue, light green, tawny, reddish brown, red, purple and colorless. Humphrey only uses blue and white topazes. Many topazes change color through treatment. This also applies to our blue topazes, as they would otherwise attract enormous prices.

With a grade of 8 on the 10-part Mohs scale, topaz is one of the hardest of all gemstones - only diamond, sapphire and ruby ​​are harder.
