With the watch line 1893, Union has been referring to the history of the company since 2013. Following the tradition of marking milestones in one's own history with a special watch, the ''1893'' series is being expanded to include a new wristwatch ''1893 Johannes Dürstein Edition'' to mark the 125th anniversary of the company's first founding. The Johannes Dürrstein Edition D007.456.16.017.00 with stainless steel case has a black leather strap with alligator embossing and a pin buckle. It is waterproof up to 3 bar. The dial features a small second, date and power reserve display. Embedded in the 41mm stainless steel case is a hand-wound movement developed in-house, caliber UNG56.01 with a power reserve of 60 hours. The case back is equipped with a sapphire crystal that gives a clear view of the movement. The new caliber UNG-56.01 designed by Union Glashütte shows characteristic features of the Glashütte watchmaking tradition.
