A design classic from the 80s is back: With the reissue of the iconic Seiko A829, Seiko brings a piece of watch history to the wrist – modernly interpreted, yet unmistakably in the original style. The watch, known among collectors as the “Rotocall” and worn by astronauts on real space missions, captivates today as it did then with function, technology, and a distinctive design.
Cult Status Since 1982
The first version appeared in 1982 – revolutionizing the operation of digital watches. Instead of relying on buttons, the functions are controlled via a rotating bezel. This intuitive solution was ahead of its time and quickly made the model a favorite among tech enthusiasts, design lovers – and even astronauts. Names like Wubbo Ockels, Anna Fisher, and Ulf Merbold linked space history with a very personal watch choice.
Technology with Character
The LCD display in vintage style stays true to the historic design – including the authentic font. Newly integrated AM/PM display, battery level warning, and LED illumination provide modern comfort for everyday use. The stainless steel case is compact and comfortable to wear, the polygonal bezel shapes the technical appearance of the watch and simultaneously serves as a control element.

Für Schmuck beträgt die Gewährleistungsfrist ebenfalls 24 Monate und gilt beispielsweise für Kollektionen von Collection Ruesch, Steiner Basic, Palido und Humphrey. Die Garantie deckt Material- und Herstellungsfehler ab. Normale Abnutzung, unsachgemäße Behandlung oder Schäden durch äußere Einflüsse sind davon ausgeschlossen.
