Anniversary edition for the adventurers of the seas

In 2022, Mido celebrates 20 years of passion for architecture. The third creation in the anniversary series, which consists of five models, the Ocean Star Inspired By Architecture accompanies with reliability the most beautiful sea expeditions - like the landmark that served as inspiration here: the lighthouse Europa Point built on the Strait of Gibraltar. The all-blue model with red accents on the "velour"-look dial, the second hand with red lacquered tip and the fabric strap decorated with red stitching allude unmistakably to the architecture of the lighthouse. This watch, as unique as it is powerful, evokes memories of the freshness and intoxication of the sea. Each copy of the limited series of 1,841 pieces - based on the year of construction of the lighthouse - is in a special collector's box with a medallion.

Referring to the Ocean Star's diving history, a unidirectional rotating bezel with a blue aluminum ring crowns the dial in a matching "velvet" finish. At 12 o'clock, the shape of the index - adorned with a touch of red - evokes the silhouette of the lighthouse built to guide people on new maritime adventures. The Super-LumiNova® dot at the top of the index and the light of the lighthouse do this job safely.

Extremely practical in everyday life: the day and date can be read in a window at 3 o'clock. To ensure a perfect display even under water and at night, the bezel, indices and hands are equipped with white Super-LumiNova®. The tip of the second hand is painted red, so the passing time can be followed precisely. The blue fabric strap, remborded and dotted with red thread, adopts the color as a subtle touch, reminiscent of the lighthouse's signature red stripe. The new Ocean Star Inspired By Architecture beats to the rhythm of Caliber 80: a latest-generation self-winding mechanical movement, meticulously decorated in the best watchmaking tradition. The model offers an excellent power reserve of up to 80 hours.

The look of this anniversary edition of the Ocean Star is underlined by the satin-finished stainless steel of the round 42.5 mm case. Equipped with a five-screw back and screw-down crown, this sporty watch will stop at nothing, even great depths, and remains water-resistant to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m / 660 ft). An image of the Europa Point lighthouse is engraved on the stainless steel of the case back, as well as on the commemorative coin of this limited edition.
