KALIBER 5X – THE NEW POWER OF SEIKO ASTRON
To improve the speed and quality of the GPS connection, every component in the GPS module has been revised. The operation of the caliber 5X is also faster and more intuitive than ever before. For example, setting the time difference between Tokyo and New York now only takes three seconds. This is made possible by an independent drive for the hour, minute, and second hands. New features also allow for automatic adjustment to daylight saving time and enable the wearer to instantly switch the main dial from home time to local time and vice versa.
By receiving time signals from the GPS satellite network, the time of the new Astron 5X series adjusts to the local time of your time zone* with just the push of a button, just like its predecessors. It is powered solely by light energy and requires no battery change. It delivers astonishing precision with a time deviation of +/- 15 seconds per month.
* When changing the time zone data, the time zone can be set manually.
