A Tribute to Tokyo and Athletics
With this limited edition, Seiko not only celebrates its long-standing role as the official timekeeper of the World Athletics Championships – but also the return of this major sporting event to its home: After 34 years, the Athletics World Championships will be held again in Tokyo in 2025. The SSC955P1 embodies precision, design, and sportiness – all in the spirit of this historic stage.
Sporty Design with Japanese Elegance
The dial shines in a deep violet, inspired by the traditional “Edo-Murasaki", a historic color of Japan – elegant, meaningful, and also the official color of the 2025 World Championships. On the back, the watch features the championship logo as well as the individual serial number – a true collector’s item for sports and watch enthusiasts.
Top-Level Technology
The Speedtimer is equipped with the proven Solar Caliber V192. The solar technology provides a power reserve of up to 6 months, with absolutely reliable performance. Additionally, the watch offers a stopwatch function accurate to 1/5 second, a 24-hour display, and a tachymeter scale for speed measurement – ideal for dynamic timekeeping in everyday life or sports.
