Mühle Glashütte has developed a watch with a useful GMT function for the soldiers of the future sea battalion of the German Navy. This takes into account the sea battalion's frequent foreign deployments: the formation protects the soldiers, ships and buildings of the Navy in ports or on the high seas. The tasks also include protecting merchant ships from pirates or carrying out embargo controls. For this purpose, the sea battalion has first-class trained units, including boarding teams, snipers, explosive ordnance disposal forces and mine divers.

In order for the watch to be able to provide loyal service to the soldiers in Germany as well as off the coast of Africa or in the Middle East, it should not only be reliable, self-sufficient and precise, but also particularly easy to read. Therefore, the dial has been given dual indices at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock and a split triangle marker at 12 o'clock. This allows the best possible coating with luminous material, while at the same time the position of the hands on the full minute is precisely defined. The reduced countdown bezel is also committed to good readability - and the skeletonized GMT hand, which does not cover the minutes. A special feature of the watch is the titanium case, which is unique in the Mühle collection. Thanks to its low weight and the position of the crown at 4 o'clock, it neither restricts the freedom of movement of the hand - nor does it weigh too much next to the other, often very extensive equipment. The Seebataillon GMT is equipped with a Selitta movement 330-1 in the Mühle version and is water-resistant to 30 ATM.
