These stud earrings are design classics from Humphrey. With their delicate size, they fit every ear and are comfortable to wear. The diamonds set into the slant add that certain something. The plugs are matted and the surfaces are polished. All edges are softened and feel soft. Humphrey uses a nickel-free stainless steel. The weight is low, making it suitable for sensitive ears and perfectly balanced by the patent ear stud. The plugs always point nicely to the front and do not tip over.

The ear stud patent – ​​which we call O-Pop – was developed and protected by Humphrey. It contains a spring inside, the secure fit of which does not change even after years. The size is optimal so that you can hold the item well, but not too big to be unpleasantly noticeable. A spherical recess ensures that the pin of the ear stud automatically finds its way into the hole.

The diamonds are set using a classic setting technique. A “bed” is milled into the piece of jewelry for the diamond. Then the diamond is placed in the barrel bed and a little material is placed over the edge of the stone. The diamond now sits securely in the piece of jewelry.

Humphrey has perfected this setting technique since the mid-1990s and offers a 2-year guarantee that the gemstone will be held securely if handled properly. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry Humphrey ever produced is still worn.

The 4 C's are important when it comes to diamonds. Diamonds are assessed at 10x magnification:

- Carat (weight). The diamonds in this piece of jewelry weigh 0.06 ct. (2.0 mm diameter each)

- Color: The diamonds we use are F or Top Wesselton color

- Clearity: Humphrey generally uses VS stones. VS stands for very small inclusions or very small inclusions that can hardly be seen with the naked eye

- Cut: is the most important C for us. This is where it is decided whether the diamond sparkles in normal light or is poor. Manufacturers often save money here. Humphrey only uses brilliant cut diamonds.
