Description
Iconic Design Meets Modern Watchmaking: MIDO Commander 1959
Retro Charm with Technological Advancement
The MIDO Commander 1959 is a tribute to a true design original: Since 1959, this model line has stood for stylish restraint, lasting quality, and elegant design language. With a diameter of 37 mm, it stays true to its origins while featuring a modern automatic movement inside.
Everyday Suitable, Timeless, and Robust
The case and link bracelet are made of high-quality stainless steel, which is resistant to corrosion and magnetic influences. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal not only reliably protects the watch but also allows a clear view of the dial even in difficult lighting conditions. Thanks to the comfortable sliding clasp, the watch sits securely and elegantly on the wrist.
Modern Technology in a Classic Form
At the heart of the watch beats the proven Caliber 80, a next-generation automatic movement with an impressive power reserve of up to 80 hours—twice as much as conventional calibers. The movement is complemented by a Nivachron™ balance spring, which makes the watch insensitive to magnetic fields, temperature fluctuations, and shocks. The result: more precision, more reliability, more wearing comfort.
Technical Highlights
- Automatic movement Caliber 80 with up to 80 hours power reserve
- Nivachron™ balance spring for increased magnetic resistance and durability
- Case size: 37 mm diameter
- Stainless steel case and bracelet in gray
- Pixel dial with Super-LumiNova®
- Anti-reflective sapphire crystal
- Sliding clasp
- Water resistance: up to 5 bar (50 m)
A Watch That Connects Generations
With the Commander 1959, MIDO brings classic watchmaking into the here and now. It is the perfect companion for people with a sense of style, history, and technology. Elegant enough for everyday wear, precise enough for every demand—and with its limited, thoughtful retro aesthetic, a true highlight for collectors and design enthusiasts. An iconic timepiece with timeless value.
