To meet the demands of Seiko fans, this watch has been re-released as part of a series based on the popular mid-sized Seiko 5 Sports SKX.

The design of this latest series of watches was inspired by the medium-sized Seiko 5 Sports quartz diving watches of the 1980s. With a diameter of 38 mm, the new models are based on the first SKX watch, but with a shallower case depth and a three-row bracelet to offer modern wearing comfort. The watch meets the goals of the very first Seiko 5 and is extremely robust and resistant to heavy use - ideal for sports.

For over fifty years, the Seiko 5 Sports has been known for its reliability, durability, performance and value. The ''5'' stands for the original five main features of every Seiko 5, which are still present today: automatic movement, date display, water resistance, recessed crown and a robust case and bracelet.
