The Humphrey Heart from the Alps – lovingly called Alpenherz – was designed by Norbert Muerrle. It is cool, sexy, attractive, desirable, and chic. The stud earrings have a matte finish.
The diamonds are set using a classic setting technique, further developed by Humphrey for stainless steel. A "bed" is milled into the jewelry piece for the diamond. Then the diamond is precisely calibrated. This diamond is then placed into the setting bed, and a little material is laid over the edge of the stone. In the picture, you can see a small ring around the diamond. The diamond is now securely seated in the jewelry piece.
The stud earring patent – called O-Pop by us – was developed and protected by Humphrey. It contains a spring inside, whose secure fit does not change even after years. The size is optimal so that the part can be held well, but not too large to be unpleasantly noticeable. A spherical indentation ensures that the pin of the stud earring automatically finds its way into the hole.
Humphrey offers a 2-year warranty on the secure hold of the gemstone with proper care. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry pieces ever produced by Humphrey are still worn today.
Diamonds:
Important for diamonds are the 4 C's. Diamonds are evaluated at 10x magnification:
- Carat (weight): In this piece of jewelry, the diamonds each weigh 0.03 ct. (2 mm diameter)
- Color (Farbe): The diamonds we use have the color F or Top Wesselton
- Clarity (Purity): Humphrey generally uses VS stones. VS stands for very small inclusions, which are barely visible to the naked eye.
- Cut (Schliff): Is the most important C for us. This determines whether the diamond sparkles even in normal light or looks dull. Often manufacturers cut corners here. Humphrey only uses brilliant cuts that are excellently polished.
Humphrey ensures to buy diamonds only from suppliers who comply with the "United Nations Resolutions." Therefore, we can guarantee that our diamonds are not affected by any conflicts.
