Optimized design for functionality
When designing the bezel and dial, form follows function, as is typical for Seiko. Luminescent material on the large indices and hands and no superfluous decoration ensure optimal readability in every situation. The SRPL15K1 Black/Black stands out in particular. Its luminescent material is not white in daylight, but rather fades into a creamy beige tone. The markers and numbers on the bezel also have a softer contrast to the black background. The case is also black and has a particularly hard titanium carbide coating. The indices and hands stand out in particular and give the watch a minimalist look that is continued in the deep black silicone strap.
