Mühle Glashütte Seebataillon GMT - Precise and Thoughtful!
For the soldiers of the future naval battalion of the German Navy, Mühle Glashütte has developed a deployment watch with a useful GMT function. This takes into account the frequent overseas deployments of the naval battalion: The unit protects the soldiers, ships, and buildings of the Navy in ports or at sea. The tasks also include protecting merchant ships from pirates or conducting embargo controls. For this purpose, the naval battalion has first-class trained units, including boarding teams, snipers, explosive ordnance disposal teams, and mine divers.
In order for the watch to serve soldiers in Germany just as faithfully as off the coast of Africa or in the Middle East, it should not only be reliable, autonomous, and precise, but also particularly easy to read. Therefore, the dial has been equipped with double indices at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and a split triangle marking at 12 o'clock. This allows for the best possible application of luminous material, while also precisely defining the position of the hands on the full minute. The reduced countdown bezel is also committed to good readability – and the skeletonized GMT hand does not obscure the minute markers. A special feature of the watch is the unique titanium case in the Mühle collection. Thanks to its lightweight and the crown position at 4 o'clock, it neither restricts the freedom of movement of the hand nor does it weigh too heavily alongside the often very extensive equipment. The Seebataillon GMT is equipped with a Selitta movement 330-1 in the Mühle version and is waterproof up to 30 ATM.
