The Fascination of the Moon on the Wrist

For millennia, the moon has exerted a special attraction on us. Sometimes it appears as a fine crescent, sometimes as a radiant full moon – influencing not only the Earth's tides but also our perception of time.

With the Teutonia IV Moonphase, Mühle-Glashütte brings this fascinating spectacle directly to the wrist. The moonphase display integrates harmoniously into the clearly structured dial, combining technical precision with classic elegance. This creates a timepiece that unites functionality and aesthetics in a particularly stylish way.

Classic Design of the Teutonia Family

Typical for the Teutonia collection is the harmonious interplay of clear lines and carefully crafted surfaces. The stainless steel case impresses with its finely processed grinds and polishes.

The middle part of the case features a characteristic vertical grind, while the elegantly shaped lugs are polished. This interplay creates a lively contrast of light and shadow and emphasizes the timeless character of the watch.

The dial shows applied indices, a precise minute track, and finely designed hands. Depending on the version, different color schemes arise, giving the collection its individual character while preserving the classic elegance of the Teutonia line.

Moonphase Display with Realistic Representation

The moonphase is represented by a finely designed moon disc that moves beneath a specially shaped dial window. The disc takes 59 days for a full rotation, thus showing the approximately 29.5 days long lunation in realistic one-day steps.

The moon appears twice on the disc and is richly detailed – even the crater structure of the celestial body about 384,000 kilometers away is stylized and reproduced.

Glashütte Technology with a Personal Touch

Inside works the automatic movement SW280-1 in the Mühle version. It features the typical woodpecker neck regulation, stop seconds, and quick date correction – characteristics that stand for precision and reliability.

The new models of 2026 are additionally equipped with a Mühle special rotor. This recalls “Three Decades of Wristwatches” at Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte – since 1996, mechanical wristwatches with maritime precision have been made here.

The screwed sapphire case back keeps the movement visible at all times and emphasizes the mechanical ambition of the watch.
