9mm Freshwater pearl white + 11-12mm Tahitian pearl

The objective that Humphrey set for himself in Zusamm The aim of the collaboration with Norbert Muerrle for this jewelry line was to find a stainless steel material that is elastic. After more than a year of development work, we now have a 2mm strong fabric consisting of many individual stainless steel threads in different alloys and thicknesses. The stainless steel threads are twisted and processed together. Only the correct arrangement delivers the desired properties.

Now we have a piece of jewelry that can be adjusted to the size of the wearer to a certain extent. The bangle can be opened easily and then fits snugly around the wrist. The piece of jewelry fits on both the left and right hand. If the bangle is too loose, it can simply be turned to make it smaller and will then fit perfectly again.

The design with the different balls may remind you of the “retro style”. What is certain is that these pieces are simply beautiful.

Humphrey's Tahitian pearls:

The black-lipped oyster Pinctada Margaritafera produces black Tahitian pearls near the islands of French Polynesia. The oyster is quite large, sometimes reaching 30 centimeters in diameter. Therefore, the pearls are often large. They are unique due to their natural, dark colors. They can take on gray, silver or charcoal-like shades.

Humphrey's freshwater pearls

Although the traditional source of pearls is oysters, which live in salt water, mollusks that live in freshwater lakes and rivers can also produce pearls.

Freshwater pearls are robust and resist chipping, wear and tear and show fewer signs of use.
Freshwater pearls differ from other cultured pearls in that they are not provided with a core. Instead, a small cut is made in the tissuemm en, into which a piece of tissue from another oyster is inserted. The shells are cared for and nurtured for between 2 and 6 years. The finished pearls are made of solid mother of pearl.
In recent years, the Chinese have been able to bring the art of freshwater pearl cultivation to a level where the top qualities are almost indistinguishable from their saltwater relatives.

The HUMPHREY jewelry wearer can therefore be sure that she owns a special piece of jewelry.

Dangers to the Pearls

Pearls are due to their chemical compositionmm sensitive to chemical and physical influences (e.g. they should be removed for showering and washing hair)mm en).
They consist mainly of calcium carbonate and the organic horn substance conchyne. Pearls are sensitive to excessive heat, dryness and moisture.

care of the pearls

There are special cleaning baths for this purpose that are mild. Pearls should not be cleaned in ultrasound if possible.
You can clean the pearls yourself from time to time in a simple way. Put the pearl in a bath of lukewarm water with a splash of mild detergent and a little alcohol and brush gently. Then rinse the pearl with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth. Every two to three years you can gently rub the pearl with lanolin.

A piece of pearl jewelry brings joy on many days and for a lifetime!
