The Presage Japanese Garden combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with high-quality watchmaking. Its finely textured dial reflects the characteristic patterns of a Karesansui garden – also known as a Zen garden. Like raked sand, the curved lines resemble wave movements and invite meditative contemplation. This design conveys calm, harmony, and a sense of the essential – a watch like a silent garden.
The play of light, shadow, and texture
Finely textured hour markers cast delicate shadows on the dial, creating a lively play of light and depth. The color scheme of the model recalls the natural diversity of Japanese gardens: The deep blue stands for ponds, moss, or the sky over Kyoto. An open window on the dial – inspired by circular views in traditional gardens – allows insights into the mechanical heart of the watch and symbolizes the calm flow of time.
