Steel pat. 2 diamonds approx. 0.03ct. 2.0mm Tw-Vs, 15mm
These stud earrings are design classics from Humphrey. Their delicate size fits any ear and they are comfortable to wear. The diamonds, set at an angle, give them that certain something. The studs are matte and the surfaces polished. All edges are softened and feel smooth. Humphrey uses nickel-free stainless steel. The weight is light, making them suitable for sensitive ears and perfectly balanced according to the stud patent. The studs always face forward nicely and do not tilt.
The stud earring patent – called O-Pop by us – was developed and is protected by Humphrey. It contains a spring inside, whose secure fit does not change even after years. The size is optimal, so that the piece can be held well, but not too large to be unpleasantly noticeable. A spherical indentation ensures that the pin of the stud earring automatically finds its way into the hole.
The diamonds are set using a classic setting technique. A "bed" is milled into the piece of jewelry for the diamond. Then the diamond is placed into the setting bed and a little material is laid over the edge of the stone. The diamond now sits securely in the piece of jewelry.
Humphrey has perfected this setting technique since the mid-90s and offers a 2-year warranty on the secure hold of the gemstone with proper care. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry pieces ever produced by Humphrey are still worn.
Diamonds:
Important for diamonds are the 4 C's. Diamonds are evaluated at 10x magnification:
- Carat (weight). In this piece of jewelry, the diamonds weigh 0.06 ct. (each 2.0 mm diameter)
- Color (Farbe): The diamonds we use have the color F or Top Wesselton
- Clarity (Purity): Humphrey generally uses VS stones. VS stands for very small inclusions, which are barely visible to the naked eye.
- Cut (Schliff): is the most important C for us. This determines whether the diamond sparkles even in normal light or looks dull. Often manufacturers cut corners here. Humphrey only uses brilliant-cut diamonds that are excellently cut.
Humphrey ensures to buy diamonds only from suppliers who comply with the "United Nations Resolutions." Therefore, we can guarantee that our diamonds are not affected by any conflicts.
