Damascus steels are said to have legendary properties. They are spoken of for their incredible durability, films like 'Highlander' create an almost mystical aura around the 'folded' blades, and even today one hears that, for example, a knife made of Damascus is said to be able to split nails without taking damage.

The raw material for the production of Damascus steel is iron with varying contents of accompanying elements such as carbon, manganese, silicon, etc. Damascus steel is folded, forged, folded again, forged, ...

This creates individual internal structures. Humphrey uses selected Damascus steels with suitable patterns.
The result is optical delights that impress alternately with their dark and light drawn lines. They are created by etching the surface, as the different layers emerge here. Each piece of jewelry is unique and extraordinary.

These earrings feature a pattern that vaguely resembles wood grain. These structures run through and through and can be etched at any time. Each pattern is unique in itself and cannot (!) be influenced. The pattern is as it is. All edges are softened and feel smooth.

When designing a star, one initially thinks of many points. However, we didn't like that and made the star much softer. The result is impressive and also reminds some of a sea star or Patrick. You can also find this star as a pendant.

The earring patent – called O-Pop by us – was developed and protected by Humphrey. It contains a spring inside, whose secure fit does not change even after years. The size is optimal, allowing the piece to be held well, but not too large to be uncomfortably noticeable. A spherical recess ensures that the pin of the earring automatically finds its way into the hole.

Humphrey offers a 2-year warranty with proper care. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry ever produced by Humphrey is still being worn.
