Information about the piece of jewelry:
This ring is strongly influenced by architecture in its design (designer Norbert Muerrle). Due to the different angles and the thickness of the ring band, the ring (although it doesn't look like it) is extremely comfortable to wear. The design prevents it from rotating on the finger.
The surfaces are matte. All edges are softened and feel smooth. Humphrey uses a nickel-free stainless steel.
The diamond is held by the force (tension) of the stainless steel ring shank. It appears to float in the ring shank. To ensure this, two notches in the shape of the diamond have been made in the ring shank using computer-controlled machines.
Humphrey has perfected this setting technique since the mid-90s and offers a 2-year warranty on the secure hold of the gemstone with proper care. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most of the jewelry pieces ever produced by Humphrey are still worn today.
If due to poor or good nutrition the ring no longer fits optimally later on, Humphrey offers the possibility of resizing.
Diamonds:
Important for diamonds are the 4 C's. Diamonds are evaluated at 10x magnification:
- Carat (weight): In this piece of jewelry, the diamond weighs 0.25 ct.
- Color (Farbe): This ring uses a black diamond (treated).
- Clarity (Purity): Humphrey generally uses VS stones. VS stands for very small inclusions, which are hardly visible to the naked eye (in this case not visible in black).
- Cut (Schliff): This is the most important C for us. This determines whether the diamond sparkles even in normal light or looks dull. Often, manufacturers cut corners here. Humphrey only uses diamonds that are excellently cut.
Humphrey ensures to buy diamonds only from suppliers who comply with the "United Nations Resolutions." Therefore, we can guarantee that these diamonds are not affected by any conflicts.
