Historical Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Since the release of the first diver's watch in 1965, Seiko has continually developed new technologies, features and designs that have been well received by professional and recreational divers around the world. With over half a century of innovation, Seiko has continually expanded the technology and uses of sports watches, and diver's watches in particular. Continuous improvements in safety, reliability, readability and ease of use have made Seiko a leading manufacturer of diver's watches.

The History of Seiko: A Century of Innovation

Since Seiko’s beginnings in 1881, the company hasmm he has again produced innovations, in keeping with the founder’s philosophy: “Leave the restmm he was one step ahead". In 1924, the company introduced the first wristwatch with the Seiko logo on the dial, marking the beginning of the Seiko brand. The year 2024 will mark the 100th anniversary of this groundbreaking event. To mark this anniversary, a third creation with an anthracite dial will be presented in a special edition.

The special edition features gold-colored accents that celebrate the anniversary year while also recalling the many advances in watchmaking that have been made under the Seiko name.

New Prospex Creations: Modern Reinterpretations of 1965

Seiko introduces three new Prospex creations that are modern reinterpretations of the original Seiko diver's watch from 1965. These watches offer 300 meters of water resistance and an impressive three-day power reserve.

More power, greater water resistance and better readability

Each of the new watches is powered by Seiko's latest automatic movement, the 6R55 caliber, which offers a 72-hour power reserve. These watches now ensure water resistance to 300 meters - a first for Prospex diving watches outside of saturation diving. The date window has been moved between four and five o'clock to provide a symm to enable a more etrical design and to optimize readability in the dark. The LumiBrite-coated index at 3 o'clock also contributes to improved readability.

Compact design and high wearing comfort

The new models offer the reliability, safety and ease of use required of a Seiko diver's watch. With a case diameter of 40.0mm , a length of 46.4mm from lug to lug and a thickness of 13.0mm These watches offer compact dimensions and excellent comfort for everyday use.A new bracelet with shorter links and a smaller clasp allows the watch to be adjusted precisely to the wearer's wrist and offers additional comfort. The short lugs also ensure a high level of comfort on the wrist.
