Description
Seiko 5 Sports: Second Iteration of the Original from 1968
Classic Design Meets Modern Technology
This is the second iteration of the original Seiko 5 Sports model, first released in June 1968. With this "re-creation," Seiko offers two dial colors that were popular at the time of the original release. The case has been faithfully reproduced to preserve a size and shape nearly identical to the original model. At the same time, the watch has been modernized and the movement improved by fitting a 4R36 inside the case.
Technical Highlights
- Movement: Modern 4R36 automatic movement
- Case: Faithfully reproduced case
- Bracelet: Durable stainless steel bracelet plus an additional calf leather strap in racing style
- Comfort: Updated lug shape and crown size for better practicality and comfort
Faithful Reproduction
The model features a robust stainless steel bracelet with a design similar to the original bracelet from the first collection. The lug shape and crown size have been updated to meet the needs for practicality and comfort.
Additional Features
An extra calf leather strap with perforations in racing style enhances the model’s retro look and offers a stylish alternative to the classic stainless steel bracelet.
With this second iteration of the Seiko 5 Sports model, Seiko succeeds in preserving the charm of the 1968 original while equipping the watch with modern technology and improved comfort.
