The case and bracelet are made of titanium with black hard coating . The bezel is made of zirconium ceramic and has sixteen facets—one for each decade since Kintaro’s birth. With its deep black coloring, the gold-colored accents and the high-gloss bezel, the watch has an impressive presence on the wrist that does justice to its heritage.
The watch is in a special gift box which, in addition to a plaque with the “S” trademark, also includes a card with a message from Kintaro’s great-grandson and current Chairman & CEO des company, Shinji Hattori contains. The case back bears Kintaro's name and three reminders of his legacy: The trademark "S", which he registered in 1900, is located in the middle of the case back. Above it is his Motto "One step ahead of the rest" , and the Seiko name, first used in 1924, is prominently displayed on the outer rim.
