An icon in a new era
The SSH169J1 is part of the current Prospex Speedtimer series and connects to one of Seiko’s most famous design icons: the 1972 Speedtimer Chronograph. What once served as a precise companion for professionals like pilots and race drivers is now reinterpreted with the latest technology – featuring GPS, solar power, and sporty racing design.
State-of-the-art technology in a compact form
Inside works the Caliber 5X83, a GPS solar chronograph movement that automatically synchronizes with the GPS network up to twice daily. Additionally, time zone and time can be manually adjusted at the push of a button – worldwide and in seconds. The watch also offers a dual-time function and a 1/20-second chronograph display.
Sporty design, uncompromisingly functional
With its powerful case shape, distinctive bezel, and sporty-elegant dial, the SSH169J1 stays true to the look of the original. Hands and indices are coated with LumiBrite, the glass is made of anti-reflective sapphire, and the 10 bar water resistance makes it suitable for everyday use as well as adventure.

As an official concessionaire, we offer the manufacturer's guarantee for all our brands. A 24-month guarantee applies to watches, including brands such as Alpina, Certina, Seiko and Oris. The guarantee period for jewelry is also 24 months and applies, for example, to collections from Collection Ruesch, Steiner Basic, Palido and Humphrey. The guarantee covers material and manufacturing defects. Normal wear and tear, improper handling or damage caused by external influences are excluded.
