Information about the piece of jewelry:
This ring's design (designer Norbert Muerrle) is strongly influenced by architecture. Due to the different angles and the ring band thickness, the ring (although it doesn't look like it) is extremely comfortable to wear. The design prevents it from rotating on the finger.
The surfaces are matte. All edges are softened and feel smooth. Humphrey uses nickel-free stainless steel.
The brilliant is held by the force (tension) of the stainless steel ring band. It appears to float in the ring band. To ensure this, two notches in the shape of the brilliant are made in the ring band using computer-controlled machines.
Humphrey has perfected this setting technique since the mid-90s and offers a 2-year warranty on the secure hold of the gemstone with proper care. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Most jewelry pieces ever produced by Humphrey are still worn today.
If the ring later no longer fits optimally due to sparse or good nutrition, Humphrey offers the possibility of resizing.
Brilliants:
The 4 C’s are important for brilliants. Diamonds are evaluated at 10x magnification:
- Carat: In this piece of jewelry, the brilliant weighs 0.25 ct.
- Color: This ring uses a black diamond (treated).
- Clarity: Humphrey generally uses VS stones. VS stands for very small inclusions, which are hardly visible to the naked eye (in this case not visible in black).
- Cut: For us, the most important C. This determines whether the diamond sparkles in normal light or looks dull. Often manufacturers cut corners here. Humphrey uses only diamonds that are excellently cut.
Humphrey ensures to buy diamonds only from suppliers who comply with the "United Nations Resolutions." Therefore, we can guarantee that these diamonds are not affected by any conflicts.
