Mühle Glashütte Seebataillon GMT - Precise and Thoughtful!

For the soldiers of the future Seebataillon of the German Navy, Mühle Glashütte has developed a mission watch with a useful GMT function. This takes into account the frequent foreign deployments of the Seebataillon: The unit protects the soldiers, ships, and buildings of the Navy in ports or at sea. The tasks also include protecting merchant ships from pirates or carrying out embargo controls. For this purpose, the Seebataillon has top-trained units, including boarding teams, snipers, explosive ordnance disposal teams, and mine divers.

To ensure the watch serves the soldiers faithfully in Germany as well as off the coast of Africa or in the Middle East, it was designed to be not only reliable, autonomous, and precise but also especially easy to read. Therefore, the dial features double indices at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and a divided triangle marker at 12 o’clock. This allows for the best possible application of luminous material, while also precisely defining the position of the hands on the full minute. The reduced countdown bezel also contributes to good readability – as does the skeletonized GMT hand, which does not obscure the minute track. A special feature of the watch is the unique titanium case in the Mühle collection. Thanks to its low weight and the crown position at 4 o’clock, it neither restricts the hand’s freedom of movement nor adds too much weight alongside the often extensive other equipment. The Seebataillon GMT is equipped with a Selitta Caliber 330-1 in the Mühle version and is water-resistant up to 30 ATM.
