These hooks can be worn optionally with or without ear pendants. The end is a stainless steel ball. There is a left and a right side for the hooks. Ideally, the ball points away from the ear.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Humphrey offers a 2-year warranty on jewelry with proper handling. However, the lifespan is unlimited. Akoya pearls reach a size of 3 to 11 mm. The growth is very slow, about 0.15 – 0.3 mm per year. The pearls should have a layer of 0.6 mm and can therefore only be harvested after about 4 years.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThe following criteria must be met for HUMPHREY:\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eColor: Akoya pearls are generally white. In the case of gray pearls, these are treated.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eLuster: The luster of the Akoya pearl is very pronounced and depends on the thickness of the pearl layer.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eShape: The shape of Akoya pearls is generally round. For Humphrey jewelry pieces, it must be perfectly round and have a flawless surface.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eSize: The pearl must adapt to the stainless steel jewelry in size and therefore be very precise in diameter.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThe HUMPHREY jewelry wearer thus has the certainty of owning a special piece of jewelry.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch3\u003eDangers for the pearls:\u003c\/h3\u003e \u003cp\u003eDue to their chemical composition, pearls are sensitive to chemical and physical influences (e.g., they should be removed for showering and hair washing).\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThey consist mainly of calcium carbonate and the organic horn substance conchiolin.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003ePearls are sensitive to high heat, dryness, and moisture.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch3\u003eCare of the pearls:\u003c\/h3\u003e \u003cp\u003eThere are special cleaning baths for this that are mild. Pearls should preferably not be cleaned in ultrasound.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eYou can clean the pearls yourself from time to time in a simple way. Place the pearl in a bath of lukewarm water mixed with a splash of a gentle detergent and some alcohol, and brush gently. Then rinse the pearl with clear water and dry the pearl with a soft cloth.
