Certina DS-2 - new standards in terms of resilience
The new DS-2 Turning Bezel from Swiss watch manufacturer Certina brings the Swinging Sixties to life with its tonneau-shaped case and vintage design. At heart, however, it is entirely dedicated to the here and now: its automatic movement ticks at 80 Hours of power reserve and NivachronTM balance spring. The grey and blue striped Sea Turtle Conservancy special edition is also dedicated to the future: the preservation of our oceans and their inhabitants.
A design with recognition value
The predecessors of the DS-2 Turning Bezel set standards in terms of durability and style in the 1960s. The new collection is in no way inferior. The tonneau-shaped case (42 x 41
mm ) is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel. While the regular models are made of classic stainless steel, the Sea Turtle Conservancy Edition is made of ultra-light titanium. The matte black dial with rectangular hands and indices with Super-LumiNova matches this perfectly® coating. The special edition is worn on a grey-blue striped textile strap made of #tide ocean material® with titanium clasp. The stainless steel models come with two interchangeable straps.A strong heartbeat
The DS-2 Turning Bezel is powered by an automatic caliber with 80 hours power reserve and antimagnetic Nivachron® -spiral spring. Its delicate mechanism can be admired through the transparent case back. It drives the displays of hours, minutes, seconds and the date at 3 The watch is precise and reliable. The screw-down crown and the proven DS system ensure water resistance up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m).
A special edition for a good cause
The unidirectional rotating bezel, the high water resistance, the strap made of #tide ocean material® - there's no question that the DS-2 has an affinity for the wet element. And this is especially true for the special edition: part of the proceeds go to the Sea Turtle Conservancy. This non-profit organization has been committed to protecting sea turtles and their habitats for decades - a good cause that Certina has long supported.

Insgesamt bin ich mit der Uhr sehr zufrieden.
Lieferung dauerte knapp 1 Woche. Das ist für die Vorweihnachtszeit und die Entfernung in Ordnung. Die Lieferung erfolgte mit DPD. Zwischenzeitlich etwas verwirrend hieß es, die Sendung konnte nicht zugestellt werden und geht zurück zum Versender. Zum Glück eine Fehlinformation.
Vermutstropfen war nur, dass die Batterie der Uhr leer war.
Inzwischen läuft die Uhr problemlos.
Ich empfehle Juwelier Steiner trotzdem uneingeschränkt. Daumen hoch.
Alles bestens.
Ware wurde zügig versendet.
Paket war unbeschädigt.
Uhr sieht im Original besser aus, auf den Fotos.
Wäre schön wenn gleich ein Leder-Band als Alternative mit angeboten würde.
